Gilbert Appliance Repair says it’s in “business” despite massive power outage
The Gilbert appliance repair firm says it was in business Thursday despite being shut down for more than a month.
Gilbert said its appliance repairs were not affected by the massive outage at the end of June.
Gilbert is one of many companies that have been unable to make repairs and is still trying to figure out what happened to power.
The outage lasted for nearly six months, and it affected more than 8,000 homes in New York state.
Gilbert and other companies say the outage is not connected to a global warming trend.
The company says it is working with its customers to get back online and get to work.
A spokesperson for Gilbert says its power is working again and it expects to reopen in the coming weeks.
