IKEA: We’re hiring for our store in India
IKEP is looking for a new IT team for the IKEATEC store in Mumbai, which is currently the site of a fire that left more than 1,100 people without power.
The fire is believed to have started when the fire sprinkler system failed, forcing the store to shut down.
IKES India CEO Arun Srivastava said in a statement the company will conduct a full review of the cause and will announce details of the replacement team in the coming days.
Srivastavava added that the IHEA will be conducting a full audit and will provide the company with an updated report.
IHEAS spokesperson Gyanendra Chatterjee said, “We are in touch with the fire department to provide the latest information and will soon provide the details of our investigation.”
The IKEI store in the Mumbai market is not the only one affected by the fire.
According to the Mumbai Fire Department, nearly 3,000 units have been damaged by the blaze.
The city also reported a significant loss of electricity in the city, with the number of affected homes reporting the loss of about 500 megawatts.
The fire has been put out and the city has been declared a disaster zone.
