I’ll Buy the Amazon Echo Plus for My New Apple TV
Apple is now offering customers the ability to buy the Amazon Alexa-powered Amazon Echo plus in select markets, including New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Los Angles, and Chicago.
The Echo Plus is expected to be announced later today.
This means customers will have to wait for a release date, but the Echo Plus will reportedly ship in July, 2019.
In an article published on the Apple Store, the retailer says customers can get the Echo Pro for $149, which will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
It will also come with a 16-megapixel camera and the ability for customers to create custom content using the Apple Remote.
The new Echo Plus features a larger 6-inch display with a resolution of 1080p and will ship with a USB Type-C port.
The device will be available to purchase in select retailers starting tomorrow.
The Alexa-enabled Echo Pro is the latest addition to Apple’s Echo line, and the Echo line has been steadily improving over the past few years.
Amazon recently introduced the Echo Spot, a device that gives customers the option to have Alexa voice commands to control devices from their homes, which can include TV shows and music.
The Echo Spot will ship in September 2019, but Apple will likely release the Echo Dot in October.
Apple is also expected to unveil a new smart speaker called the HomePod in 2019.
The HomePod will come in four different sizes and will cost $350.
The speaker is expected later this year, though no specific date has been announced.
